The result of the “Open-Air Contemporary Art Project”: a vehicle for the teaching of contemporary art in schools” organised by the NMAC Foundation during the 04/05 academic year with sponsorship from the European Commission as part of the “Culture 2000” programme. This publication details the experiences of 4 European sculpture parks (Yorkshire Sculpture Park, NMAC Foundation, Europos Parkas and Arte in Erba) in providing a platform for a member of each participating country (Jane Leigh/Britain, Cristina Lucas/Spain, Mindaugas Tendziagolskis/Lithuania and Luigi Mainolfi/Italy) to transmit the fundamentals of art to primary school students from their local schools.
