Throughout the history of art, nature has been a source of inspiration for artists since the origin of humanity. This publication shows the constant dialogue between the binomial art-nature through a unique journey through a dehesa in the south of Spain where the Mediterranean forest of pines and cork oaks are in complete symbiosis with site-specific projects and the most emerging creativity of international contemporary artists.
\nThe Fundaci\u00f3n Montenmedio Contempor\u00e1nea from the periphery, overlooking the African coast of Tangier, has become a world reference in art and nature projects. A destination where the walker is the active protagonist of the visitor-work-nature conversation; in the meadow one can no longer imagine the landscape without the work, the work without its surroundings, inviting us to become active observers.
\nLa naturaleza como atelier is an essential publication within the bibliography of arte-natura, a unique compilation where the most relevant artists of the international art scene have turned this Andalusian meadow into a laboratory of expansive artistic creation that makes possible utopian spaces of coexistence.

The Library of the Montenmedio Contempor\u00e1nea Foundation is a documentation centre specialising in Land Art, national and international Nature Art Centres and Contemporary Art.<\/p>\n

It also has specialised magazines, such as FlashArt, Artforum, Parkett…<\/p>\n

Located in one of the military barracks that form part of the characteristic infrastructures of the Montenmedio Contempor\u00e1nea Foundation, it has a bibliographic collection of more than 4000 volumes, which increases monthly with new publications.<\/p>\n

The Montenmedio Contempor\u00e1nea library collection can be consulted by researchers, students, teachers or simply interested persons during the Foundation’s normal opening hours, after contacting the Montenmedio Contempor\u00e1nea team.<\/p>\n

Within our collection you can find different sections from Public Art, Art Theory, Art and Nature Theory, as well as catalogues on the different Biennials, Fairs and Exhibitions.<\/p>\n<\/div>
