Resaca Rojo Oriente, 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">Rafa Mun\u00e1rriz&#8217;s sculptural proposal stems from the concept of the &#8220;<i data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"81\">resaca&#8221;<\/i>\u00a0understood in its maritime dimension: a space of tensions where opposing currents coexist, clash, and generate new configurations. Building upon this idea, the piece draws reference from the geographical context of C\u00e1diz\u2014a territory traversed by both commercial and migratory transit dynamics that position the Strait as a point of friction between global flows.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Formally, the sculpture is composed of six transformed aluminum trays that articulate a structure based on the intersection of two perpendicular rhythms. On one hand, a more regular and repetitive arrangement recalls industrialized systems of production, shaping a sort of modular barrier. On the other hand, a series of more gestural deformations introduces variations that evoke error, the unforeseen, or the residual within those very processes.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The interaction between both registers generates an unstable space that alternates areas of openness and closure in relation to the scale of the body, inviting a physical experience of transit and containment.
