Seville, 1968. Lives and works in Madrid.

Studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville and the influence of her Andalusian roots can be perceived in all her work.

Multi-disciplinary artist who works in the fields of performance, video, photography, sculpture and installations. Her field of investigation is focused on issues of traditional Spain: flamenco, bullfighting, beliefs, music, folklore and craftwork, which she transforms in her works through irony, humour, criticism, sensuality and poetry. In 1999 she presented the performance “Tortilla a la Española” (Spanish Omelette) in which she violently scratches her clothing and then proceeds to make a Spanish omelette with it.
